VSMPO-AVISMA is a Russian multi-discipline integrated corporation that was founded in 1998. It comprises two major corporations: VSMPO (www.vsmpo.ru) and AVSMA. The corporation is the world’s largest integrated titanium manufacturer and the primary application of its products is the aerospace sector. Lately, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus Industries and their subcontractors started using a significant quantity of titanium produced at VSMPO.

The collaboration of World Machinery Works with VSMPO was initiated 5 years ago, when our company delivered two bridge type plano millers model BTM 1600 CNC and one floor type horizontal boring and milling machine model BP 130 to the Russian company that used them for machining aircraft components made of titanium alloy. Due to the performances and quality of these machines, VSMPO continued this collaboration, materialized in a new order for two more bridge type plano millers model BTM 1600 CNC that were recently shipped to the customer.

Plano millers model BTM 1600 CNC have fixed cross rail, moving table of size 4000 x 1620 mm and spindle driven by a 30 kW with spindle rpm ranging from 10 to 2000.

The floor type horizontal boring and milling machine model BP 130 CNC has a 130 mm diameter spindle driven by a 50 kW spindle motor. The machine travels travels are: column along the bed: 4000 mm; headstock along the column: 2500 mm; ram and spindle: 800 mm each.
